The hardness of steel is determined by the amount of carbon.

When talking about wire rods, hard wire is called "hard steel wire" soft wire as "mild steel wire".

Even if it is said that it is soft, it is not soft like Nessame or Tokodate, but softness "in steel" to the last.

Hard steel wire refers to wire rods with a carbon content of 0.25% or more, and mild steel wire is a wire rod with a carbon content of 0.25% or less.
