This time I will introduce normalizing.

 

Annealing and normalizing are similar in way.

Annealing is furnace cooling that cools slowly in the furnace after heating, but the normalizing is air-cooled.

Air cooling is a little faster than furnace cooling.

 

The material is prepared by normalizing.

 

Steel products are made by casting and rolling.

     

 

This creates distortion.

When strain occurs, the structure of the steel is disturbed, and the properties such as strength are insufficient.

 

This strain is eliminated by normalizing.
