This time I will introduce process annealing.

The material softens in the middle of cold processing by process annealing.

 

Cold processing means applying pressure to the material at room temperature or below the recrystallized temperature.

This is a method of molding while deforming metal. (Rolling, drawing wire)

 

This annealing is held at 700 to 800 °C (recrystallation temperature or higher) for a long time.

This annealing prevents cracking and breaking due to work hardening, and smooths the next process.
