I mentioned earlier that there are five types of annealing.

What we do at Hikari is stress relief, but I would like to introduce the other four types as well.

 

This time, I would like to introduce "Full Annealing".

For full annealing, heat to A3 or A1 + 30-50 ° C and cool in a furnace.

* A3 is the temperature at which ferrite comes out of austenite.

* A1 is 723 ° C for steel

 

This annealing adjusts the crystal structure and enlarges the crystal grains.

Steel softens.
